A Letter from Ms. Johanna...

Hello PUMC Families J

Welcome back after a long, hot summer! Hopefully everyone is off to a good start of the school year, parents and kids alike…Here at PUMC we are ramping up for the Fall and Holiday Season and we look forward to seeing all that our children can accomplish this year!

Please read on for a few items concerning Sunday School and the Christian Education program:

1. Registration for Sunday School (PreK-5th) is on the church’s website or paper forms can be found on the volunteer desk. Please complete one per child, we need these updated every year! Sunday School follows Children’s Time at the 10am service.

2. Children’s Choir will meet at 9:30 with Mr. Kumba and Ms. Amanda in the lower education room across from the nursery.

The choir will be singing at the 10am service on October 14th, November 18th and December 16th. More dates will be announced later.

3. We are putting into practice a couple new policies in order to comply with our Safe Sanctuary program.

A. All Children will be signed into Sunday School by the teacher(s) when they arrive following Children’s Time. They must remain in the classroom unless a parent or guardian comes to sign them out (no going back and forth between the Education Wing and Sanctuary.) This is for everyone’s protection!

B. Our nursery with Miss Helen is for infants and toddlers. Children in Kindergarten and above should either be registered for Sunday School or remain in worship. This allows Helen to give the care needed to our youngest members without any incidents.

I greatly appreciate your understand and help as we implement these policies to best serve all the children and families and look forwarding to seeing all the Children when Sunday School resumes on Sept 9th.

In Christian Love,
