The Faithlink Class is composed of adults of varying ages led by Dave Morse. Our main topics of discussion are provided by a publication called Faithlink, and written by a variety of men and women who are active in the Methodist Church. There is a new topic each week, consisting of 4 pages.
The written topic is supplemented at irregular intervals with a series of video presentation called “From Jesus to Constantine, a 24 part series that chronicles the birth and rise of Christianity. The talks are given by Bart Ehrman, a professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This has been an enlightening series to date.
The best way to become acquainted with Faithlink is to pick up copies of past topics from the table in the Parlor. These are yours to read.
The best way to find out if this is a class that you would enjoy being a part of, is to join us at 8:30 any Sunday in the Parlor off the Circle Room. We may be watching a segment of the video on that day also.
The Koininea Class is composed of adults of varying ages. Ellen Mladineo facilitates our discussions. We're taking the summer off. See you in September.
