Holy Baptism

Through the celebration of Baptism we become part Christ's holy church.  We are included in God's mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit.  All this is God's gift, offered to us without price.  Baptism is available for all who believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Holy Baptism is offered to persons of all ages at Painesville United Methodsit Church.  The Baptismal Covenant is God's word to us, proclaiming our adoption by grace and our word to God promising our response of faith and love.  In the case of parents having an infant or child baptized, the parents are vowing to raise and nurture the child in Christ's holy church, teaching them by example to accept God's grace and to lead a Christian life.
The Baptismal Covenant is normally conducted during Sunday worship.  You may contact the church office for more information or to set a date for baptism. Please complete this form and return it to the church secretary to schedule a baptism.  The Administrative Secretary will contact you for final scheduling.
