CHANGE FOR CHANGE

The 3rd Sunday of the Month is Mission Ministries Sunday.  The "Change for Change" project is to encourage you to bring in your spare change for a special collection.  Small change can add up to a lot when we work/give together.

 Participation in Area Soup Kitchen

For many years, various “teams” (such as the Youth Group, Koinonia Class, Boy Scouts, and United Methodist Women) in our church have worked the third Saturday of each month at the St. James Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen. The group prepares and serves lunch from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the hungry in our community. Coordinator Tracy Novak can always use some extra help. Please call the church, (440) 354-3642,  for more information or to volunteer your time and talents.

PUMC Food Pantry

One of our most effective outreach ministries is our weekly Food Pantry. Each Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Painesville residents are eligible to receive two bags of nonperishable grocery and personal care items. The only requirement is proof of residence for families or individuals. We ask the clients to limit their visits to once a month. The pantry is stocked through donations from church members and periodic contributions from United Way or other area agencies and churches.
